CME:

On 28^thNovember Margao IMA had CME on “ Drug Induced dermatological Diseases� by Dr. NageshKakode which was attended by 50 delegates.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES:

IMA Margao on the occasion of World Diabetes Day organized a Diabetes walk on 14^TH November in Margao where Branch Members participated actively for the good cause.

IMA Margao conducted a program on the theme “Welcome the Girl Child� at Schools on 15^th November 2014.

IMA Margao conducted CME on 29^th October 2014 Osteosrthritis by Dr. Aditya Sai Kadovkolan consultant Joint Replacement & sports Medicine from Wochardts Hospitals on Early onset Arthritis, management of cartilage injuries and joint preservation and aggressive approach for early rehabilitation in the young population and its management.

This was followed by a lecture with case presentation on Acute Abdomen by Dr. Suraj Prabhudessai, General & Laparoscopic surgeon.

A CME was held on 25th July on the topic “Hearing Loss� by Dr. Kapil Prabhu Desai, Consultant ENT surgeon at Margao. Over 60 delegates were present for the CME.

Netradeep campunder the leadership of Dr. Pradeep Naik was held on 13th a July at Raia Village under Margao Branch. Students wing Members and Dr. Kadambari Kulkarni, Dr. Shashikant Kulkarni, Dr. Gautam Naik Dr. Bhalchandra Dessai were present at the camp.

IMA Margao conducted another Netradeep camp at Dramapur Margao. Dr. Pradeep Naik & his team from Goa Medical College examined over 183 patients. Dr. Rajesh Naik, Dr. Bhalchandra Desai, Dr. Shashikant Kulkarni assisted for the camp.

IMA MARGAO LOCAL BRANCH REPORT FOR MAY 2014

A Blood Donation camp was organized by IMA Margao on 1^st May 2014 at Bllod Bank Hospicio Hospital. Attendees were motivated for spreading the message of Blood donation for social cause.

Dr. Mahendra Kare, Dr. Gautam Kamat and others actively participated in the camp.

A CME was conducted by IMA Margao on the topic “Molecular Imaging And Cyber Knife” by Dr. K.G.Kallur and Dr. Uday Krishna  from 8.00 pm onwards at Nanutel Hotel Margao  where in 60 delegates attended the CME on 30^th May 2014

Under AaoGaonChalenAbhiyan a camp was held on 06/04/2014 under “Netra Deep� programme of IMA:

On 6th April  Netra deep camp at Cavellosim was held under able leadership of DrPradipNaik HOD Dept of Opthalmology GMC. Dr Rajesh Naik, DrBhalchandraDesai  and Dr. GautamKamat attended the camp

CME:

On 12th April 2014 at Apollo Victor Hospital, IMA Margao held a State Level CME on Lymphomas. Eminent speaker  DrAbhayBhave delivered a brilliant interactive lecture on  large B cell lymphoma, follicular lymphoma and Hodgkins lymphomas.

Under AaoGaonChalenAbhiyan a camp was held on 02/03/2014 under “Netra Deep� programme of IMA:

On 2nd March 2014 IMA Margao participated in Netra Deep Camp conducted by

DrPradeepNaikat Ambelim, Margao

DrShashikantkulkarniDrKadambariKulkarni–Consultant Opthalmologists and

DrBhalchandraDesai,DrPravinBhat,DrMahendraKare Dr. VinayakBuvaji participated in the camp

A total of around 136 patients were screened on that day.

On 7th March 2014 Margao IMA conducted CME

Topic “Overview of Kidney Transplant” by DrShitalLengade DM {Nephro}

53 delegates attended the CME

One CME credit.

IMA MARGAO LOCAL BRANCH REPORT FOR FEBRUARY 2014

CME:

A CME was held on 21^st February 2014 at Hotel GoldstarMargao on “ Case Presentations�. Dr. Jose Alvares, Dr. SudhirShet and Dr. PravinBhat  presented 3 cases each from their specialty.  Dr. Babita Angle Prabhudessai also spoke on “ interpretation of LFT’S in clinical practice. CME was atteneded by 50 doctors.
